How did you awake this morning? I'm not talking left or right side of the bed. Nor am I talking whether you awakened with some sort of illness, breakfast in bed, with or without a partner. What I am asking is, when you awakened from your sleep, did you give thanks to God for another day. Did you give thanks for a brand new day, because each day awakened is a brand new day. It's a new day in a chapter of your life, a life that God has given you to pursue His purpose. And what is God's purpose for you? That's a question we all ask and an answer we all are in search of.
Websters definition of Purpose is "the reason why something is done or used : the aim or intention of something. : the feeling of being determined to do or achieve something. : the aim or goal of a person : what a person is trying to do, become, etc."
God's doesn't have one purpose for us, but a multitude of achievements with Hid main focus being LOVE. We will discuss God's purpose of Love for and from each of us in a future blog.
Our focus today is on God's multitude of purposes and what you may believe your purpose in life is. Earlier I asked the question, how did you awake? Did you awake with a determination to fulfill a task? Was that task derived from a household chore, work related task, or a task asked of you by a friend or relative?
No matter what that task is for, whether you believe it or not, it's a God given purposeful task. We weren't placed on this earth by God so He can watch us like fish in a bowl, although it may seem like that at times. God has a purpose for each and everyone of us as defined:
- For a reason
- Aim or intention of something.
- Determination to do or achieve something.
- Goal of a person.
In our next post we will discuss those 4 areas and how you can recognize God's purpose for you, and why we give thanks.
